ECHO's Global Farm was developed to train interns, students and overseas development workers in tropical agriculture.

Directions:
Take exit 143 (old 26) off I-75. Go 1 mile east on Bayshore Road (Rt. 78). Turn left on Durrance Road at the prominent ECHO sign. Turn in at the second left to park for tours, the bookstore or nursery.

Join us for Farm Day at ECHO

ECHO’s Global Farm provides something of interest to everyone. Throughout the day there are behind-the-scenes tours, demonstrations of farming techniques used around the world, applications of appropriate technologies, children’s activities, creative workshops, and samples of some of the amazing varieties of tropical fruit on ECHO’s farm. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase and there will be activities available for children. Here is a sample of the exciting activities from last year:

  • Fresh squeezed orange juice
  • Try your hand at making fresh peanut butter
  • Taste Fresh Sugar Cane juice
  • Leaf Printing
  • Bamboo & Container Gardening Workshops
  • Hands-On Grafting Demonstrations
  • Fruit and Appropriate Technology Tours

Admission will be $5.00 for adults in advance; $7.00 day of the event. There is no charge for children under 10.
